An impressive career in sports marketing led Becky Kimbro to her current role as Vice President of Strategic Brand Engagement for our beloved Spurs Sports & Entertainment(#GoSpursGo). Working with a brand as solid as the Spurs, and a fan base as passionate as San Antonio, Becky brings innovative marketing skills to the table every day.
Before she joined the Spurs Sports & Entertainment team, Becky was the Vice President of Marketing for the Texas Rangers, and the Senior Marketing Manager for the Dallas Cowboys before that. Becky earned her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of North Texas.
VP OF MARKETING, THE DOSEUM
Whether you have children or not, you’ve likely heard of The DoSeum, San Antonio’s museum for kids that focuses on STEM education that “powers up kids’ minds.” That’s in large part to Vice President of Marketing Sandra Garcia. Shortly after The San Antonio Children’s Museum rebranded to become The DoSeum in 2015, Sandra joined the marketing team and has helped build the iconic brand ever since.
During a long career in marketing and communications, Sandra has served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Senior Account Supervisor at Bromley Communications, and Director of Marketing at Sweb Development. Sandra specializes in Brand Development, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Integrated Marketing Campaigns, Digital Media, and Broadcast Production. Sandra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from University of the Incarnate Word.
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS, BROOKS
Brooks in South San Antonio is booming, so you can imagine how busy Connie Gonzalez is as Director of Public Relations. Nearly every week, there’s another big announcement coming from the former Air Force Base—whether it’s a new employer bringing 1,400 jobs to the South Side or an exciting addition to the thriving culinary scene at Brooks—and it’s Connie’s job to make sure everyone is aware of the developments.
In addition to overseeing the media relations, Connie also manages tenant relations, special events, and social media and marketing programs for Brooks. She was previously a weekend anchor and reporter for both KNWA and KFTA in Fayetteville, Arkansas and KSAN in San Angelo, Texas. Connie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication Electronic Media from Texas State University.
FOUNDER, PURO PINCHE
Stephanie Guerra wears a lot of hats, but the one most people know her for is Founder of PuroPinche.com, a blog that has celebrated and supported San Antonio’s vibrant cultural scene since 2010. With daily lineups of music, art, and cultural events happening around the city, Stephanie is the go-to person for goings ons in the Alamo City.
More than that, however, Stephanie has also created an impressive resume that includes Community Engagement & Events Coordinator for H.E. Butt Foundation, Campus Director for The Iron Yard, Managing Editor for La Prensa, and Special Projects Coordinator for City of San Antonio. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
