An open letter to all.
It’s time for a change—a transformation that more accurately captures who we are and what we do for organizations across industries throughout Texas and beyond. Our growth has necessitated it.
Headed into a milestone anniversary—our 10th year of operation—The DeBerry Group is changing our name to talkStrategy. New name, new logo, expanded services, same strong seamless team of in-house experts.
What started as a public relations, public affairs and crisis communications agency, The DeBerry Group has evolved over the past nine years. As our client needs grew, we expanded our services to meet them. We added in-house creative, digital marketing, paid and organic social media services and owned-content creation. We began developing fully integrated campaigns for our clients—before integrated became a marketing buzzword—and our original services became our key differentiator in that space. Our integrated campaigns encompass all facets of the communications ecosystem, layering in public relations and public affairs tactics and strategies for greater overall results.
Our unique agency model is engineered to create maximum budget efficiency and message effectiveness for our clients. We start with strategy and build from there, which ensures all tactics are in alignment with client goals and objectives. We dive deep to understand our client’s goals, their target audiences, and their desired results, and we curate a strategy that meets those audience members where they are, compelling them to take specific actions. We steer clear of ad-hoc approaches and one-off tactics. Our account team and our planners are one in the same, eliminating process-heavy waste to create greater flow.
Make no mistake, this is about us. This agency remains a part of Trish’s DNA, and she will continue to be involved as the founder and a limited partner while we elevate people who are alchemists in their own right—formalizing the way we have been working the past several years. Anamaria Suescun-Fast will take the helm as CEO and managing partner, overseeing day-to-day operations, while we elevate two very familiar faces to leadership roles: Laura Hotten will be our new Vice President of Creative and Digital, and Kristine Smith will be our new Vice President of Strategy and Accounts. Bringing together Trish, Anamaria, Laura and Kristine provided the creative inspiration we needed to formulate our new name—T-A-L-K Strategy.
We innovate every day for our clients—and will continue to do so—but, felt it was about time to innovate for ourselves. This evolution has led us to a greater understanding of our purpose: to continue to do smart work on behalf of our mission-driven clients and to create discourse by design whether that is via web, social and digital platforms, public relations, grassroots outreach, public affairs or crisis communications.
